God’s law is written on your heart

Jeremiah 23:16 16Thus says the Lord of hosts: “Do not listen to the words of the prophets who prophesy to you, filling you with vain hopes. They speak visions of their own minds, not from the mouth of the Lord.
May the sounds of silence echo in your ears. This makes no sense as silence produces no sound but maybe we feel the calm that silence brings. We live in a world that has been brought up in falsities that promise good to many and seldom deliver. In truth what we hear sounds good but only delivers to those speaking it.
Many say they will help us, and that they stand for you, but they don’t realize the world has started to listen to their actions and not so much their words. Actions, you might say, are the new sound of truth. And this is what our new generations are looking for, truth. Truth spoken and truth shown in action. Man has always tried to destroy truth as they hope their lies catch you off guard so they can scam, steal, and take advantage of everyone who falls for their spider like web so they can sting you with their poisonous lies.
God speaks the “real” truth and that truth is accomplished in the actions of our Lord Jesus Christ. Who is better to follow, the one who sends people out to die for them, or the one who dies for the people. Our Lord has “actually” done both as you read through the Old Testament. But you cannot judge God on the bases He sent people out to die. Rather, judge God for sending us His only begotten Son to die for our sins so that those of the “past,” present, and future can “live” an eternal life.
Jeremiah 23:17 17They say continually to those who despise the word of the Lord, ‘It shall be well with you’; and to everyone who stubbornly follows his own heart, they say, ‘No disaster shall come upon you.’”
I knew a couple of atheists. Both thought that when one dies, they become nothing more than fertilizer for other things to grow. Both thought that your life only has meaning if you do something meaningful.
One atheist thought that the only way she would live on would be in the hearts of her children and grandchildren, and the mark of memory she made on them. I ask her, when they are all gone who is left to remember you? Will one be truly dead after they are forgotten? She said nothing.
Let us realize this world and everything on it will not exist once God has destroyed it. But, life will continue with God. We should have good deeds, but if these deeds give you the glory, then these deeds will eventually be done in vain. Our good deeds should be done for the glory of God, because without God we would not be here to achieve good deeds. God is the creator of all good things and that includes your good deeds. Don’t thank me, please thank God for working through me.
Jeremiah 23:21–22 21“I did not send the prophets, yet they ran; I did not speak to them, yet they prophesied. 22But if they had stood in my council, then they would have proclaimed my words to my people, and they would have turned them from their evil way, and from the evil of their deeds.
There is wisdom in these words. Be it God’s wisdom as He speaks in words and in deeds. For one to prosper those whom God calls His own, one would truly have to know God’s word. Our God speaks to give us a better life that encompasses His love and cares for our true wellbeing and asks us to do the same to one another.
God doesn’t lie to us and tell us that if we follow our own heart aside from Him that everything will be ok. God does not tell us that if we live contrary to His word that our life will be good. God does tell us that if we live according to His word, aside from the world, our lives will continue after our tent has faded and is blown away in the wind.
Jeremiah 23:23–24 23“Am I a God at hand, declares the Lord, and not a God afar off? 24Can a man hide himself in secret places so that I cannot see him? declares the Lord. Do I not fill heaven and earth? declares the Lord.
Many are quickly taken by the lie, I think, because they do not realize that God is nearer to us than we believe. Deists believe that God came, created, and then left the world to be on its own. Can you imagine a world without God? What disasters would have come about and what tyrants would have succeeded in ruling this world?
With God, with our Lord Jesus Christ, goodness has prevailed more so than without Him. It is the deeds of God along with His word that brings us to faith and trust in our God. Our moral compass is because of God and that God’s law is written on everyone’s heart, that is believers and nonbelievers. It is true to say Jesus lives within us because He really does. The evil one who tries through false prophet’s lies might succeed in some to drive them into evil ways. But our Lord has found a way to save all who believe in Him and in His gospel of forgiveness.
Our Lord Jesus Christ has found the way to fill heaven and earth with believers. The way is through the cross Jesus was crucified and died upon. The death of our Lord is the purchase of forgiveness for all. And the resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ is the way of filling heaven with those who believe and follow the truth that is the way and the life eternal.
Amen
