Ezekiel 18:25 25“Yet you say, ‘The way of the Lord is not just.’ Hear now, O house of Israel: Is my way not just? Is it not your ways that are not just?

It never ceases to amaze me; people do wrong and they want to blame someone else for it.  The perpetrator either claims they are the victim or believes if they blame someone else it takes the eyes of others off from them.  Look familiar, you know, politicians, or do you believe the perpetrator.  People are very easy to fool but God is not.

Though many think, if they do not believe in God then He can’t do anything to them.  The truth is what happens to the unbeliever is their fault and not God’s fault.  We cannot send ourselves to heaven, but we can send ourselves to the bottomless pit.  The Good News is God has chosen you to be a citizen of heaven.  The bad news is you can refuse what God has already given you.

So, whose ways are unjust?  Is it not our ways, that is, the worldly ways that are unjust.  Many think if they legalize the wrong ways that makes them right.  Who do you say is in charge?  Is it God, or is it the majority of the worldly ways?  If you chose wrongly, you could be choosing death.  But if you choose correctly, you will definitely choose life.

We live by the flesh and choose to please the flesh, or we can live in the spirit, and live with and for God our creator.  Truthfully, life is not fair, but God is always fair and even more than fair as He justifies us through repentance and forgiveness.  And both repentance and forgiveness are something God leads us towards through His word and through the Holy Spirit.

Ezekiel 18:26 26When a righteous person turns away from his righteousness and does injustice, he shall die for it; for the injustice that he has done he shall die.

Legalizing crime does not justify crime as the world is trying to make you believe.  Injustice is injustice as a rose is still a rose under any other name.  A man is a man, and a woman is a woman as you cannot change the spots on a leopard.  Wake up and stop smelling the woke ways as they are lies to justify the injustice of which there is no justification.

Here it is plain and simple if you want to live the lie then you will die!  If you live in the spirit of God, you will surely live.  The truth is not really that difficult to understand.  Jesus Christ is the truth, and the word of God is the truth, and Jesus Christ is the word of God, (John 1:1).

The world is playing us as stupid people, because the world knows many don’t know, or care to know, the word of God.  The world takes advantage of our ignorance of God’s word and tells us sweet little lies that sound like truths.  So, where have we heard this before?  In the Garden of Eden?  Yes, by the serpent in the tree of all knowledge of good and evil, check it out Genesis 3:1-5.

Ezekiel 18:27–28 27Again, when a wicked person turns away from the wickedness he has committed and does what is just and right, he shall save his life. 28Because he considered and turned away from all the transgressions that he had committed, he shall surely live; he shall not die.

This is the other part of repentance, that you admit your sin and run the constant race to change your life to be more in line with God’s ways.  It is hard for us all to walk with Jesus every hour of every day.  We have that sinful nature, but this is not an excuse for our actions as we have a choice in what we do.

Some are weak and temptation takes over.  Well, actually, we are all weak and allow temptation to take over.  Sometimes we are strong and are able to resist the temptations, but when a sudden situation comes on, we have a knee jerk reaction that triggers sin.  This is why we have a great God and Father in heaven.  And that He sent His Son to save us from ourselves is proof of His greatness.

Ezekiel 18:29–30a 29Yet the house of Israel says, ‘The way of the Lord is not just.’ O house of Israel, are my ways not just? Is it not your ways that are not just? 30“Therefore I will judge you, O house of Israel, every one according to his ways, declares the Lord God.

Think about what our Lord God is saying here.  Do we really want to be judged just by our actions and therefore not receive forgiveness for sin.  Would it not be better to turn to God and know of His forgiveness that brings eternal life with Him.  Turning to God is getting to know Him.

You read part of the Holy Bible, and you only get part of the knowledge of God.  You read ALL of the Holy Bible, and you get to know more of God.  You study the Holy Bible, and you start building your part of the relationship with God.  And when you study the Holy Bible with others and with those who know the Holy Bible, then you will be well on your way to having a solid relationship with God.

Ezekiel 18:30b–31 Repent and turn from all your transgressions, lest iniquity be your ruin. 31Cast away from you all the transgressions that you have committed, and make yourselves a new heart and a new spirit! Why will you die, O house of Israel?

When we come together to worship and study the Word of God, we create a means of holding each other up.  Holding each other up is practicing and obeying the Holy Gospel.  This is not works if you do it for the love of God and for the love of one another.

Ezekiel 18:32 32For I have no pleasure in the death of anyone, declares the Lord God; so turn, and live.”

God did not send His Son to us to condemn us to an eternal death, but that He died for our sins is proof that our God wants to save us to an eternal life.  Praise and thank God for He saves us every day through the works of His Son, our Lord, Jesus Christ.  Amen.
