Clothed in the righteousness of our Savior

Romans 8:28–29 28We know that for those who love God all things work together for good, for those who are called according to his purpose. 29For those whom he foreknew he also predestined to be conformed to the image of his Son, in order that he might be the firstborn among many brothers.

There are many who ask if God is a god.  The answer is not whether God is a god but that God is the only God.  Many people think that if there is a god then he will conform to our bidding.  If we had a god which conformed to our bidding, then we would have a genie in a bottle rather than a God who is the creator.

Why other people say they do not believe in a god is that they want to be the ones in charge.  Sorry to break this to those who want power over God, He does not fit into a bottle that we can carry around until we decide we need Him.  Sorry again, we are not in charge of our destination, unless you think that choosing hell is a free choice.

God loves us.  How do we know this?  He came down as Jesus Christ, the Messiah, our Savior to save us to eternal life.  Why would someone want to save us if they did not love us?  God called us to live forever for His purpose and His purpose only.  God created us to love and to have a people who would love Him too.

Our world has confused love with condoning one’s desires sinful or not.  Love does not mean condoning one to hell, but to love and teach one to want salvation God’s way.  Yeah, God’s way.  It is not so hard as God’s way is the purest of love for all.  No, God does not condone sin and sin has no place in the kingdom of God.

Romans 8:30 30And those whom he predestined he also called, and those whom he called he also justified, and those whom he justified he also glorified.

If there is no room for sin in the kingdom of God, then who truly deserves to be in heaven?  That is a question that is answered through and by Jesus Christ our Savior.  Jesus died for our sins and in doing so, He justified our existence in eternal life.  Not because we are righteous on our own, but because we are clothed in the righteousness of our Savior, Jesus Christ.

All Glory to God and the glory of God is shown through those who love God.  These are not just words from our lips but genuine feelings from our heart given to us from the word and Holy Spirit of God.  Too difficult to believe?  Not really if you know God through His word, which is to know God through His actions of love toward us.

Romans 8:31-32 31What then shall we say to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us? 32He who did not spare his own Son but gave him up for us all, how will he not also with him graciously give us all things?

All things is not a material gift, but a gift of life through God’s love and care.  We need to stop living our lives for ours desires and start living our lives for God and each other.  Jesus says, love GOD and love one another.  God says He loved us first, and that is especially true to you and myself in this time after our lord Jesus Christ died for our sins about 2026 years ago, give or take a few.

We might be killed of this body, but there is a new body waiting for us in the new world and heavens.  A better body where our spirit is greater than our flesh and our needs never run dry.  Who can be against us when we have salvation and no condemnation? We have an eternal love from God and He made assurances for His love to us.

Romans 8:33-34 33Who shall bring any charge against God’s elect? It is God who justifies. 34Who is to condemn? Christ Jesus is the one who died—more than that, who was raised—who is at the right hand of God, who indeed is interceding for us.

Jesus died for our sins and raised for our life eternal to show us life beyond this world of sin.  With Jesus there is no false hope but a greater and true hope.  And that Jesus sits at the right hand of God, Jesus is the right hand of God.  Ok, Jesus is God who intercedes for our love from God as we come to Him in prayer asking God’s will for all.

Romans 8:37-39 37 No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us. 38For I am sure that neither death nor life, nor angels nor rulers, nor things present nor things to come, nor powers, 39nor height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord.

We are dealing with God, not some politician who gives false promises.  God gives real promises and He keeps them.  Do think God allowed His only begotten Son to die for us to be a lie?  No, God gave His Son to die for our sins to keep us as His adopted children.

Jesus died and was resurrected for God’s sake to restore us to the true life.  The true life is with God and with Him we can never be lost or taken away.  This truly is in the name (will) of the Father, and the Son, and the Holy Spirit.
